camos CPQ - Release September 2019
The CPQ provider (Configure, Price, Quote) camos Software & Beratung GmbH releases the new releases for its development platform (camos Develop) and its quotation solution (camos Quotation).
camos Develop 15.4 - Customizable user interface
camos Develop is the all-in-one tool for the camos CPQ solution: From building the product model without programming knowledge to adapting and extending the CPQ software to application lifecycle management, all required functions are available. The new release 15.4 is the last planned feature release of version 15. More than 100 requirements and numerous detail improvements have been implemented. It contains many new options to customize the user interface for specific users and roles: both beginners and power users are supported in the best possible way. The REST API has been extended and new visualization options have been added - for a modern look & feel of the CPQ solutions based on camos Develop.
Steffen Lorscheider, managing director at camos, already gives an outlook: "Our upcoming main release camos Develop 16.0 will set new standards in product modeling with the camos Modeler. The new module visualizes the complete product structure at a glance and thus enables even clearer and simpler product modeling."
camos Quotation 13 - Web-First and new Costing Module
camos Quotation is the solution to create quotes within camos CPQ. It supports the sales department in converting configurations into binding and convincing offers. The "Web-First" orientation has gained in importance at camos in recent years and has become a central development focus. The result is a completely redesigned user interface that is designed for easy operation and optimal display in the web browser.
Another highlight is the camos Costing Module. It enables a flexible price and cost calculation and the controlled, error-free construction of complex calculation models. Costs, prices and margins for competitive offers are calculated parallel to the configuration and design of the products. The maintenance of the calculation models is done without programming effort by the users themselves.
For camos Quotation, Steffen Lorscheider also gives a foretaste of future releases: "We will not only continue to improve the configuration as our core business, but will also concentrate on the development of a new module with which digital approval processes can be best mapped in our CPQ solution. In addition, we will ensure that configuration data can be converted into an evaluable format to provide valuable input for new requirements in the data science and machine learning environment".
