camos CPQ - Release April 2019

camos Software & Beratung GmbH has launched the new releases of the CPQ platform camos Develop as well as the modules camos Document Designer and camos UI-Designer. Steffen Lorscheider, managing director of camos, summarizes: ‘True to our motto of putting the customer’s benefit at the centre of our development work, the current releases were once again significantly influenced by our customers’ feedback. Through improved usability and an extended range of functions, the releases contribute to increasing the user experience of our CPQ solution. In addition, a further development focus was on the easy integration of our software into our customers’ IT infrastructure.’ 

• camos Develop is the all-in-one, tailor-made tool for the camos CPQ solution: From building the product model without programming knowledge to adapting and extending the CPQ software to application lifecycle management, all required functions are provided. The camos Develop release 15.2 contains many detail optimizations that further simplify and improve change management. In addition, the dynamic objects feature has significantly simplified exchanging data with JSON-based web services.
• camos Document Designer is an add-on by camos Develop that allows for the simple creation of offer layouts without any need for programming. It can be used to create offer templates that are in line with the corporate design and perfectly describe the content of the configured solutions. Release 2.0 contains numerous functional enhancements:  For example, new possibilities to describe and design the table of contents and its appearance in detail. The release also aims to make it more user friendly.
• camos UI Designer is a further add-on by camos Develop with which users can easily build user interfaces (UIs) for the product configurator without any programming knowledge. UI elements are used modularly and enable a homogeneous appearance within the application - as well as the perfect user experience on different end devices. Here, too, usability has been further improved in the new version 6.0, so that UIs can be created even more easily and intuitively in the future. In addition, the customizing effort is further reduced according to the motto ‘adjust instead of develop’: New settings are available to the user, with which he can implement his requirements without lots of development work. This also simplifies future release upgrades.
