Role
As far back as 1859, Voith founder Johann Matthäus Voith designed the first wood grinder for the production of wood-fibre paper. He thus laid the foundations for industrial paper production ... and the cornerstone of the enterprise Voith Paper GmbH. And even today, the company – still a family-owned business – continues to manufacture paper production machinery and systems. The company's portfolio comprises established machinery designs for the most common grades of paper. Increasingly complex customer requirements, however, mean that machine design takes more time and effort. A camos CPQ solution was implemented to facilitate quotation generation.
Result
Camos Configurator significantly streamlined and speeded up the complicated quotation generation processes of Voith Paper GmbH. The system configures entire paper factories while costs are calculated automatically. The greatest benefit for Voith was complete process transparency. The configurator also enhances the company’s international orientation, as paper factories worldwide can be configured in various languages to meet local requirements.
