Scheidt & Bachmann is a big player in international parking spaces, particularly for its highly estimated competence in manufacturing. Through its own research and development division and its own manufacturing division, systems for parking garages are not merely assembled, but customer-specific solutions for individual projects are created. Instead of serial mass production, project-specific customer commissions are realised. In the selfsame manner, spare parts for systems manufactured in the past are still delivered with ease.
In order to make the pre-production phase of such highly flexible manufacturing even more effective, Scheidt & Bachmann has introduced the solutions for Product configuration, quotation generation and processing orders of camos in Stuttgart. All the branches in Germany, together with more than 70 subsidiaries and associated companies worldwide will successively be equipped with camos software.
With this software, customer-tailored solutions are projected, conceived and depicted and price quotations generated. “The high degree of depth and complexity in our manufacturing makes high flexibility for customer-specific requirements possible. The wide ranging spectrum of products offers scalable solutions for the smallest imaginable parking spaces all the way to the largest parking garage management systems in the world,” says Samuel Spaltner, Market Manager for Germany. “With this software, the components from the existing pool can be configured far more quickly and cost-effectively into a highly individualised parking garage system.”
Since the software is synchronised with the already existing product planning system and also boasts a sophisticated management system to oversee all versions, those last-minute plan changes which are typical of such systems can be realized and implemented without any additional cost. Samuel Spaltner: “The project makes an enormous leap forward towards communicating the detailed knowledge of our product range throughout the entire concern and to our associated companies at a uniform high standard.
