More than 130 customers responded to an invitation by camos Software und Beratung GmbH and attended the 20th Users Meeting at Pforzheim. The major theme at the two-day anniversary celebration was to listen to experiences, ideas and queries from customers about the product configurator. In this vein, fittings and pump manufacturer KSB AG presented how it goes about configuring pumps in customer-specific ways. Adjacent to that, customers deployed the configurator as a tool for locating products provided, for generating technically correct quotations and for constructing machines based on real knowledge and data (knowledge-based engineering).
A further important subject of discussion at the event was the range of functions of the development tool known as camos Develop 9. In addition to that, camos provided previews and insights into the soon-to-be-released solution. Michael Hüllenkremer, Managing Director of the software and consulting company put it this way: “As partner of machine and systems manufacturers, we are continuingly developing new solutions. For that reason, an exchange of ideas with our customers is an essential part of the ongoing process. After all, it's from them that we receive further impulses.”
