The MAHA, Maschinenbau Haldenwang GmbH & Co. KG (founded 1969), is worldwide the most productive manufacturer of vehicle test lanes for all application purposes. The manufacturing program is enhanced by vehicle lifts in many different versions. As pioneer and global leader in electronic brake testing technology, the company has specialized in the testing of safety-relevant components and driving quality of vehicles for 4 decades. Test-relevant systems and installations are the result of close cooperation with vehicle manufacturers- from the development phase up to production. Our customers are inspired by the custom-tailored solutions, adapted to individual needs with distinctive service offerings. Our current market share stands at approximately 40%. Over 1000 employees throughout the world are working to increase this percentage, with maximum competency and unwavering commitment.
The camos project
A big step towards the standardisation of corporate data was the introduction of the product configurator and the CRM system (Customer Relationship Management) by camos in 2004. In this ongoing evolution, the Configurator was deployed for processing the orders; the CRM solution for supporting sales. Roy Lazonby: “The best argument for the solution of the Stuttgart software company was the great cost/benefit ratio, together with the transparent licensing. In addition, this development tool is so flexible that we can now evolve our applications further all by ourselves.” In order to take the next step and make automatically generated price quotations, MAHA linked both solutions to the application camos Quotation in 2006.
Today with the help of the configurator, sales personnel generate technically correct quotations in which every bit of available information is fed into the specific, detailed quotation. Besides product knowledge, even pertinent customer data such as contacts, addresses and individually pre-determined price arrangements can be fed into the quotation from the central CRM system.
Roy Lazonby: “Based on this information, our sales team generates quotations in five or ten minutes.”
