The company
For more than 30 years, battenfeld-cincinnati Germany GmbH has been manufacturing integral extrusion lines. The enterprise of nearly 250 employees makes about 100 million Euros turnover per year. With headquarters in Bad Oeynhausen, it is one of the leading companies in the field of extrusion lines, providing planning, construction and manufacture all from one and the same source. Its product range includes extruders as well as complete industrial systems for manufacturing films, mouldings and pipes of synthetic material. All its system components are functionally matched and tuned to one another, then regulated via a general control system.
The camos project
Battenfeld sets great store in the Product Configurator camos Configurator and CRM software camos Selling, which enable it to respond quickly to the increasing numbers of requests for extrusion system price quotations.
This software now manages to generate a total of 50 per cent more price quotations from the same number of employees.
In particular, the sales personnel who have worked for many years at Battenfeld utilize and appreciate this solution, since the configurator with its graphic interface is so simple to operate. Supplying clearly defined and logical details about technology, prices, etc., the sales personnel are superbly well supported during their sales talks with prospective customers.
Apart from tautening and shortening the quotation process, it was the objective of this project to reduce the number of assembly units, thereby raising the size of the various lots.
